Janene Mitchell’s early interest in women’s health drew her to specialty training in fertility and pregnancy care where she found helping men and women struggling to conceive to be deeply rewarding. She also loves working with women who are navigating the sometimes challenging transition into menopause.
With over 16 years of clinical experience Janene is licensed to practice in both Oregon and California, where she completed her training and became Board Certified in Oriental Reproductive Medicine. As an active member of ABORM and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Janene connects with other experts to stay up-to-date on the newest developments. She is also part of a west coast Chinese Medicine women’s obstetrics group whose members exchange ideas and treatment approaches drawn from many years of practice in acupuncture and midwifery.
Janene has been using essential oils for over a decade, combining them with acupuncture for a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating effect. With a background in energetic bodywork she has a sensitive, intuitive approach coupled with her extensive training in reproductive medicine. Each patient receives recommendations and treatments tailored to bring their body back into balance.
When at play Janene can be found dancing, drumming and cooking up new recipes from her garden. She lives in NE Portland with her husband of too many years to count.
